About the foundation
A family foundation rooted in Toronto and committed to giving back.
Founded by Martin and Joan Peskin, the M and J Peskin Foundation was incorporated in 2020 as a private charitable foundation. It reflects a lifelong belief that thoughtful, sustained giving can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
The foundation makes grants to qualified donees, primarily Canadian registered charities, and works to support organizations that are well-run, community-minded and focused on real outcomes.

Our approach
How the foundation gives
The foundation does not currently accept unsolicited grant applications. Charities wishing to introduce their work are welcome to contact us by email.

Grants are made to qualified donees as defined by the Canada Revenue Agency, primarily Canadian registered charities.

The board identifies organizations with clear purpose, sound governance and a demonstrated commitment to those they serve.
